BPI gets mobile banking award

Bank of the Philippine Islands has received an international award for its mobile banking services.

The Asian Banker recognized BPI for best mobile banking in the Philippines during the annual Excellence in Retail Financial Services Awards held on Oct. 2 in Makati City.

BPI was cited for having a mobile banking platform that demonstrates the use of the full range of current mobile device technology for financial transactions and services in the most intuitive and secure manner possible. This was the third award received by the bank’s

mobile banking this year.

The Asian Banker also named BPI as the best retail bank in the Philippines for 2015. BPI also received the best electronic delivery channel award during the inaugural Bank Marketing

Awards night, organized by the Bank Marketing Association of the Philippines.

The award recognizes the bank that successfully implemented the most  innovative electronic delivery systems and achieved the desired results in terms of usage and acceptance.

“These awards have only strengthened our resolve to continuously deliver the best mobile banking experience to our clients,” BPI Financial Products and Services Group head Simon Paterno said.
