PWU honors the Villars

Senator Cynthia A. Villar was the Commencement Speaker at the 94th Graduation Ceremony of the Philippine Women’s University at PICC on July 8.

Senator Manny Villar received the Dean Conrado Benitez Heritage Award at the same ceremony in recognition of his generous contribution to PWU’s Business School which will set up the Manny Villar Institute of Entrepreneurship in his honor.

PWU was founded in 1919 and was one of the first private schools to set up a Business Administration program in 1926. It was the first university for women founded by Asian women and is now a co-educational institution known for its innovations and diversity.
