Cagayan de Oro hosts Isuzu Truckfest

With Cagayan de Oro as one of the strong markets of Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), it is all but natural for the country’s diesel authority to bring the Isuzu Truckfest show at one of the major cities of Mindanao. Held at the Limketkai Center parking lot from October 5 to 9, Isuzu and its CDO dealer Cebu Southern Motors, had on display its fleet of light to heavy duty trucks.

Aside from the Crosswind, D-Max and MU-X, IPC EVP Takashi Tomita says that the Mindanao region accounts for more than 50 percent  of the total truck sales for Isuzu, “This is why Isuzu cannot miss to hold this event in Cagayan de Oro,” he says. “Our goal is not just to maintain our number one position in the light truck segment but more importantly to increase the sales of our medium to heavy-duty trucks. Product visibility is critical to help us achieve this goal; we will try to bring our products closer to our customers as much as possible,” adds Tomita.

This year, Isuzu has seen a 39-percent increase in truck sales from January – August compared to the same period in 2014. And through this truck display, the company has reported to have sold more than a hundred units of trucks in the first five legs of the event.

One of IPC’s leading dealership, Isuzu Cagayan de Oro, likewise shares its optimism towards this year’s display, “We are happy to host the 2015 Isuzu Truck Fest here in Cagayan de Oro – it’s a first time for us and I think the results will be beneficial. We really like the idea that our customers can view the trucks up-close, because by then, we can explain to them the truck features in actual.” said Isuzu Cagayan de Oro General Manager George Ongchua.

Isuzu displays a total of five Isuzu trucks in Cagayan de Oro; this includes the Isuzu NHR and NPR with aluminum van body which ideal for cargo delivery, the NQR with dropside for construction works, the FVM gullwing van and the EXR heavy-duty tractor head for logistics services and long haulers.

During the event, Tomita also expressed appreciation to their loyal truck customers in the area. “For us in Isuzu, there is nothing more valuable than the trust that our customers have put into our hands, and for this reason, we are continuously working hard to provide excellent products and services best suited to the demands of the Filipino market, in particular our valued customers in Northern Mindanao.”
