The story is the Standard.
Manila Standard was born during the euphoric days after the EDSA Revolution. As every one reveled in the restoration of press freedom, publications sprang up, left and right. But those euphoric days are over. And only few publications still stand. Even fewer remain true to what they originally stood for.
Among the survivors is The Standard.
True, it has changed names, hands and formats numerous times, but its essence still remains unchanged. It is all about truth. Relevance. Credibility. And guarding the public’s right to know.
And most importantly, it’s all about the stories.
