‘Nando’ threatens Pangasinan, C Luzon

Thunderstorms and scattered rainshowers are forecast in Metro Manila, Central Luzon and neighboring areas as a result of Tropical Depression ''Nando''  near Dagupan City in  Pangasinan, the weather bureau said Saturday.

Nando,  the 14th cyclone to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility, was estimated at 280 kilometers west northwest of Dagupan City around 3 p.m. It was packing maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 60 kph, moving  west northwest at a speed of 24 kph.

Pagasa said stormy weather will prevail over Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Mindoro and Palawan.

It  warns  of possible landslides and flash floods in these areas.
