According to the independent panel of judges, “RCBC Bankard has developed and launched a proprietary financial management tool to allow cardholders to better manage their accounts and not overspend. This has led to an excellent uptake rate, with 16 percent of RCBC Bankard’s customer base already indicating that the facility is relevant to them (as of November 2013).”

They added that RCBC Bankard also provides year-round promotions and flexible rewards programmes, making it an “easy winner.”

Retail Banker International is the leading global publication for retail banking with a strong focus on Asia.

Trailblazer Awards, organized by Timetric, continue to reflect critical banking standards across categories including service excellence, strategy excellence, product excellence, channel excellence and process excellence.

Ruben Kempeneer, Asia Pacific Regional Director for Timetric, says “The prestigious Trailblazers are the only awards in the region that truly focus on innovation and identify those who deserve the unique ‘trailblazer’ honor, which in itself reflects success, inspirational effort and regional superiority. The Awards are getting bigger every year and the quality of submissions is becoming increasingly impressive.”

“It is of great honor for us to be recognized as a product excellence awardee in the whole Asia Pacific. With this recognition under our brand name, we will continue our commitment in providing innovative financial products and services to our valued clients and customers,” RCBC Bankard Services Corporation President and chief executive officer, Oscar  Biason stated.

RCBC Bankard adds this recent commendation to its roster of local and international awards in the past years, living up to be a trailblazer in the card services industry.
