Visionaries: Defining the news, defining the world

Visionaries. They are future oriented, able to imagine possibilities in such great detail that they can describe and explain what it is they see. The first step to accomplishing anything great, after all, is defining the vision, in a way that everyone around them can see clearly in their minds.

Arnold C. Liong, President
and Chief Executive Officer

It is this clarity of vision that fuels their passion– passion that captures, affects and mobilizes all that they come across. One of the surest signs of visionaries is their willingness to share this vision with the world.  A true visionary knows that their vision is too big, because they know they cannot reach their destination alone.

They need others– including other visionaries– to add their knowledge, their strength and resources to accomplish the tasks needed to achieve the goal.

Jojo A. Robles, Editor-in-Chief

This is why they reach out, communicate and connect with others in all ways they can.  With focus and presence, because with focus and presence comes influence.

The Standard has a vision, not just for itself but the nation.  By reporting, analyzing and informing  the public about what is going on around us today– good and bad, achievements and failures, highs and lows–it helps the rest of us define our world, pointing out what can and must be done to make it better.

Rolando G. Estabillo, Publisher

Yet the Standard is not just a visionary; it is a tool for other visionaries.  It reaches out on multiple platforms, going where the people are, changing and adapting with the times, connecting on various levels in order to reach those who share the same vision and are able to run with it.

We are here because it will take more than a single visionary to get to our destination. It will take a nation of visionaries, as well as those who share their vision to get to where we want to be.

Focused and present, The Standard communicates and connects in various platforms to reach the most people. By defining the news, it equips people with information and knowledge, enough to take a stand on issues surrounding us, enabling us to move forward in the direction of greatness.
