Archers wary of Tigers

THE La Salle Green Archers will be extra wary when they take on the  University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers at the resumption of the 78th University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball tournament today at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Archers and the Tigers clash in the main game at 4 p.m., right after the duel between Katipunan teams Ateneo and University of the Philippines at 2 p.m.

The Tigers are coming off a convincing 68-58 victory over the Ateneo Blue Eagles last Saturday behind Kevin Ferrer’s career-high 27 points.

“UST is a strong team. They play very hard,” said La Salle coach Juno Sauler.

The Archers themselves were coming off a win, a 71-64 dismantling of the University of the East Warriors last Sunday.

The Growling Tigers trail the Far Eastern University Tamaraws at  second with a 4-1 card, while the Archers are right behind at 3-2 in a tie with the Blue Eagles.
